National Philanthropy
Kappa Beta Gamma's national philanthropy is Special Olympics.
Each year every chapter across the nation holds events to raise money for the Special Olympics. Our sorority holds fundraisers
to raise money and we also participate in volunteering in the
Special Olympics.
In the past we have had other National Philanthropy's such as
Breast Cancer and AIDS. We have done many different events
and fundraisers for both of these philanthropies as well!
Local Philanthropy
Our local philanthropy is the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation. It is a non-profit organization founded by one of our Theta Kappa alumni. Our alum lost her 3 year old son in a car crash in 2006. The foundation provides educational opportunities and grief and loss support programs for children, teens, and families.
Their Mission Statement:To provide educational and recreational opportunities for children by funding established organizations and existing programs in need of financial assistance while looking to create new opportunities to enhance a child’s mind, body and soul. We will accomplish this through the development of programs and activities designed to maximize a child’s potential, giving particular attention to the needs of socio-economically disadvantaged youth.
Every year our sorority volunteers at the many different events
the Foundations holds. For example some are Rock for Drew,
Dash for Drew, and Tee for Drew.
